I think that there is way more to discover about the Pacific Ocean. I wish that I knew how long it is, I wonder if scientists have ever measured it. Im sure that there are many more fish that havent been discovered yet. I wonder if mermaids are real, and if so, do they live in just southern waters or would they live in the Pacific Ocean? Well, i hope you visit my blog soon to read another one of my Journal Entries. 🙂 Tyra

Brady came home from school late one day because he was in detention. When he got home nobody was there. Then he remembered that his mom and his dad were going on a date night. He found a note on the fridge. It said “Brady, please do the laundry while we are gone and if anything is wrong please call me or dad. From mom.”

Brady went down to the cold, gloomy basement where the washer and dryer waited for him. Brady made his way down to the washer then he started to do the laundry. He was looking around and he just happened to glance at a tiny door he had never seen before, his heart started pounding, he was sure he saw the doorknob turn. He dropped the laundry basket from his sweaty hands and leaped for the steep, rickety wood stairs. He was halfway up the stairs when the tiny door swung open. Brady tried to see who it was but it was too dark to see anything.

Brady bounded through the kitchen and down the hallway to his bed room and locked the door. He grabbed his phone to call his mom but then he realized that his phone was dead and his charger was out in the living room. He went to his bed and plopped onto his back. His heart was still pounding just not as hard as before.

After ten minutes, not able to hear anything outside his bedroom door, he cracked open his door and peeked around the corner. Nothing. He was curious, he wanted to see who. He tip toed into the kitchen, he looked around, nothing was missing or messed up so he silently made his way to the basement door. He peeped his head in to the doorway, he didn’t see anyone. He went to investigate. He slowly stepped down the stairs with his bare feet.

He went to the washer, then he heard whispering outside the door. He slipped some shoes on and opened the door. “What?!?” Brady cried, nobody was there. Then he saw two pairs of footprints. Brady followed them to the middle of the yard. He looked up, he looked all around him. There were no more footprints. “Hello, is there anybody out here?” Brady yelled. There was no answer. He sluggishly walked inside and finished the laundry. After he finished the laundry he cautiously walked up the old stairs to go watch some television.

Once his parents’ got home they asked how his day was. He told them about why he got home late and then he told them about the little door and the mysterious footprints. He dragged his parents down the stairs to show them the unusual tiny door. He pointed to where he had seen the door. “Where is it?” Brady’s father questioned. “OH!” exclaimed Brady. It was gone!
